Active Transportation Plan
The City of Miamisburg is excited to announce the kickoff of the Miamisburg Active Transportation Plan!
The City was selected by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to receive Task Order Assistance to develop and adopt an Active Transportation Plan (ATP). The purpose of adopting an ATP is to guide future investment in infrastructure and programming to support walking, bicycling, handicap accessibility, and transit access throughout the City. Toole Design, a nationally-recognized leader in planning for active transportation, is charged with developing the plan in consultation with the Miamisburg Development Department and the project Steering Committee, comprised of local elected officials, city staff, and interested stakeholders.
Throughout the summer, Miamisburg residents, business owners, and visitors will have many opportunities to help guide development of the plan, its recommendations, and list of projects and programs. Those opportunities are listed below. Please also look for announcements on the City webpage (www.cityofmiamisburg.com) and on your favorite social media platforms.
Adoption of an Active Transportation Plan was a policy recommendation of the recently adopted 2025-2050 Miamisburg Transportation Plan. A link to this plan is below.

Public Open House #1 06/12/2025, 6:00pm @ Miamisburg Public Library (545 E. Linden Avenue)
- Attend this Open House to share your thoughts, comments, and concerns regarding walking, bicycling, or taking transit within or through the City of Miamisburg. We also want to learn about any obstacles or barriers that prevent you from being active in the community. Staff of the Development Department, as well as our consultant Toole Design, will be on hand to collect your feedback and answer your questions. There will also be a hands-on mapping activity to share your input.
