Due to Thanksgiving, trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day. Residents who normally receive pickup on Thursday will have their trash collected on Friday. City offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday this week.

2024 Resident Survey

Survey Says...The City is going in the right direction

Last summer, Miamisburg officials collaborated with the Columbus-based Strategic Research group to conduct an online survey seeking feedback on the city’s services and priorities.

The survey results showed that overall, Miamisburg residents had positive perceptions of the city, its government and its various services and facilities. They rated the quality of life, the city’s beauty and the neighborhood quality highly. Residents felt the city’s leaders were performing well and they generally felt safe in the city.

Respondents generally expressed favorable opinions about the city’s services and efforts. They gave high ratings to overall city services, as well as specific aspects like trash service, snow removal and recreational services. However, they rated property maintenance enforcement, water and sewer utilities and transparency and accountability less favorably.

In terms of city priorities, residents felt that infrastructure, road maintenance and traffic should be the highest concerns, followed by public safety services. Their lowest priorities were non-public safety and non-utility city services, as well as parks, recreation and city aesthetics. Residents’ top priorities for city development and improvement focused on existing residential neighborhoods, with less emphasis on new residential development.

Most residents felt the city was doing enough in various efforts, such as providing city services, encouraging new development, keeping residents informed and handling public funds. Those who didn’t feel the city was doing enough, generally felt it was not doing enough rather than too much.

When asked about how they most often and prefer to get information about city events and activities, the largest portion selected the Civic Focus Newsletter (now known as Miamisburg Quarterly), followed by social media.
