The Income Tax Office is responsible for collection of the City's income tax as well as the income tax of the Austin Center Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) and the Miami Crossing JEDD. The income tax rate for all taxing districts is 2.25%.

Local Income Tax Returns for Tax Year 2021 are due April 18th, 2022 for residents and calendar year-end business filers. For businesses that file on a fiscal year, your return is due the 15th day of the fourth (4th) month following your fiscal year end.

NOTE: All city office will be closed on Friday, April 15th in observance of Good Friday.

Online Local Income Tax Filing

To file or pay online, please click the blue box below. This will take you to the Tax Connect Online Income Tax Filing and Payment Tool. You will need your account number to set up online access. If you do not know your account number, please give us a call at the number below.

The online income tax return filing tool is currently only set up for full year residents with only W-2 income. If you have income that is shown on a Federal Schedule 1, C, E, F or Form 4797, please complete a paper form and mail in.

Note, an income tax return is not considered filed until all necessary documents are received. Please upload all required documents with your online return.
