The Finance Department maintains budgetary control over all City funds and provides accounting control over assets, revenues and receivables. It is responsible for the proper receipt, custody and disbursement of all City funds, as well as the safety, liquidity and yields of the City's investment portfolio. The Finance Department oversees the Income Tax and Utility Billing Divisions.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

The City annually issues an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report with a full set of financial statements and has received a "clean" audit opinion by independent auditors.

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has been awarded to the City each year since 1989. This award is presented to governmental entities whose Annual Comprehensive Financial Report achieves the highest standards in governmental accounting and reporting.

Hotel-Motel Taxes

The Finance Department is responsible for collecting and administering the city's occupancy tax. The form below should be filed with the Finance Department.
