The City began distributing softened water to residents in 2019.  Using a Reverse Osmosis process, water hardness levels have improved from 22 grains per gallon to a current average of 8 grains per gallon.  Soft water provides health and cost benefits to the public.  Be mindful that if you are currently using a water softener unit in your home or business, the City strongly urges you to make setting adjustments based on this data.  Should you need assistance with this process, please contact your water softener dealer or a local plumber.
