Police

The Miamisburg Police Department features a highly trained staff of law enforcement professionals. It employs full-time officers and civilian staff and includes a detective division, a D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) officer and a school resource officer. Dispatching services are contracted through the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch under the day-to-day direction of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Further demonstrating its ongoing commitment to a community-based philosophy of policing, the department features the Downtown/Citizens Police Initiative (DCPI). This Ohio grant-funded program features a patrol position dedicated solely to the city's historic downtown district, which is the subject of revitalization efforts. There is a satellite police office located in the heart of downtown on South Main Street.
