Fingerprinting Services
The Miamisburg Police Department has the capability for electronic BCI/FBI fingerprint submissions. It also provides a State of Ohio service called WebCheck, which is a fingerprint-based civilian background check. Citizens can visit the police department records lobby during the following hours to utilize the fingerprinting service: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., excluding holidays.
To be able to complete your fingerprinting request you will need to provide us with the following information.
- The address of where the completed report should be sent to.
- The Ohio Revised Code (ORC) we should run your request under
- A valid state ID or driver’s license
The cost for Webcheck services is as follows: BCI $30, FBI $35 and for both BCI and FBI it is $65. All payments can be made in the Water Billing office. Credit and debit cards, cash and checks are accepted forms of payment.
HSI Victim Notification Program
The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Victim Notification Program allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien’s release from custody. A witness or victim can simply click on the hyperlink and be transferred to a number of valuable victim services programs provided by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department.
Report a Scam
Citizens can report a potential scam or learn about the latest reported scams in the state by visiting the Ohio Attorney General's website, www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/ReportaScam.
RX Drop Box
The Police Department has an Rx Drug Drop Box located in a public area on the lower level of the Department. Citizens are encouraged to bring their unwanted, unneeded or expired pills or medical patches (no needles or liquids accepted) to the station at the Civic Center during normal business hours (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and place them in the Drop Box for safe disposal.
Vacation House Checks
As a crime prevention and community relations service, we check houses for residents who are temporarily away on vacation, business trips or other travel.
- Under this program, vacant house checks will be conducted during daylight hours only, as time permits.
- These checks will be limited to residences vacated for periods of 3 days (72 hours) to an unlimited number of days.
- To obtain a house check, the residence must remain vacant for the duration of the owner's absence. The Miamisburg Police Department cannot accept a house check request if someone will be staying at the residence.
- Residents are asked to notify the police department if they return home early from their vacation.
