About
The city of Miamisburg and Miami Township in 2007 jointly formed the Hillgrove Union Cemetery Board to provide oversight of Hillgrove Cemetery, which is a 30-acre facility located at 1002 East Central Avenue in Miamisburg.
Hillgrove Union Cemetery was established in 1863 and is part of the city of Miamisburg's rich heritage. One of the city's founders, Dr. John Treon, was the first buyer of a plot and has a prominent resting place on the grounds.
Situated on rolling hills, Hillgrove Union Cemetery provides a respectful and peaceful setting for local families of all faiths. The cemetery grounds are open daily to visitors. During periods of inclement weather, the grounds may be closed for safety reasons. Cemetery plots are available for purchase.
Hillgrove Union Cemetery staff is available to assist with genealogical research on an appointment basis. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to change due to burials and cemetery operations.
New signage
Construction of new signage along Central Avenue will provide greater visibility and awareness for historic Hillgrove Union Cemetery.
