Slots available for cremation remains
Historic Hillgrove Union Cemetery on Central Avenue added a new structure in 2019 to accommodate cremation remains, and spots remain available. Called a columbarium, this structure has 72 individual vaults for the interment of urns. It is the first columbarium ever at Hillgrove; urns have previously been buried underground. Each vault in the columbarium costs $1,500, with an interment fee of $350. Hillgrove is operated and supported jointly by the City of Miamisburg and Miami Township, and each jurisdiction contributed $20,000 toward the purchase of the columbarium. The cemetery contributed $8,800.
