Community Development

The Community Development Department serves the city's historic downtown, acting as a liaison to the business owners, managing plans and grants for the downtown and throughout the city as well as administers the C.A.R.E.S. Program.

C.A.R.E.S. Program

The Miamisburg C.A.R.E.S, Community Action for Revitalization, Engagement, and Sustainability, Program kicked off in 2017. The program is a collaboration between the city, community, corporate partners, schools and nonprofit agencies. The mission is to improve and enhance the quality of life of Miamisburg residents through 3 pillars: Infrastructure, Building/Housing Stock and Quality of Life by offering local and regional resources for short term and long term sustainability.

Neighborhoods are identified and selected based on certain statistical data along with community pride and assets. The program strives to engage residents to develop their neighborhood identity.
