Mayor Michelle Collins announced the appointment of Shelby Spurlock as Miamisburg’s new City Clerk. City Council unanimously approved Spurlocks’ selection and was sworn in by Mayor Michelle Collins last month.
Spurlock currently holds the position of Programs and Community Center Supervisor for Miamisburg Parks and Recreation, where she has dedicated the past eight years to enhancing community engagement and programming. Alongside her regular responsibilities, Spurlock also serves as the secretary for both the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Miamisburg Community Foundation, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to public service and civic involvement.
“We have confidence that Shelby (Spurlock) will continue to serve and provide exceptional public service to this city.” according to City Council. “
Prior to her role with the City of Miamisburg, Shelby worked for three years at Marsh McLennan Agency as an Account Assistant. A native of Dayton, she graduated from Beavercreek High School and later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wright State University.
Shelby and her husband, Paul, currently live in Washington Township.
