Rumpke Waste & Recycling is adjusting trash and recycling pickup times in the city starting Monday, June 23, due to the anticipated heat wave.
This change is being implemented to protect its workers from heat-related illnesses and ensure timely service. According to Rumpke, customers should place their materials at the curb the night before their scheduled collection day to facilitate this earlier pickup.
According to Rumpke officials, “Safety is our top priority,” said District Manager, Kevyn Vasquez. “The high temperatures predicted for the upcoming weeks make our job more dangerous. To help protect our team members from heat related illnesses and ensure customers still receive timely collection, we must adjust our operations.”
