Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Miamisburg is accepting applications for the full-time position of Code Enforcement Officer in the Development Department.  Code Enforcement Officers provide services to the Development Department in duties that primarily involve property maintenance and zoning code enforcement but may involve other codes as required. Creates and maintains records and performs associated clerical/office tasks pertaining to inspection duties.

Looking for someone with effective interpersonal skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations and build constructive dialogue. Be able to provide clear, respectful explanations of ordinances, regulations, and departmental decisions. Receive and respond to citizen complaints—both in person and by phone—with patience, tact, and professionalism. Have sound judgment and problem-solving skills and be proficient with the use of computer software. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Building Inspector or Chief Building Official.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this position is $21.28 to $35.41 per hour DOQ with one of the best benefit packages in the region.
