ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for managing and leading the daily functions of the Finance Department including but not limited to, utilities, income tax, accounts payable, cash management and accounting. Additionally, the Assistant Finance Director will work collaboratively with the Finance Director on implementing other high-priority projects as needed. This individual reports directly to the Finance Director and will typically supervise approximately 8 full-time direct reports and should display a history of effectively leading a team.
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field; and three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in finance, accounting, with demonstrable proficiency in governmental accounting; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be applied in accordance with City of Miamisburg policy.
Preference may be given to those candidates registered as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Finance Officer, Certified Government Financial Manager, Certified Internal Auditor, or related. POSITION DETAILS
The annual salary for this position is $78,948.02 – $101,053.41 DOQ with an excellent benefits package.
