The smokestack demolition planned at the old Hutchings Station has been postponed.
The scheduled demolition was to take place on Friday, June 14, 2024 at about 7:30 a.m., with a road closure from 7 – 8:30 a.m. on Chautauqua Road between Dayton-Cincinnati Pike and Farmington Road.
A company spokesperson from Frontier Industrial said, “Due to a delay in our subcontractor’s supplier being able to deliver the required materials needed for the implosion, we are postponing this project to a later date. We will keep you apprised as to the scheduling of this project at a later date.”
