The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the city of Miamisburg its prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the city’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023. This was the 35th consecutive year Miamisburg has earned this top honor.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and it attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
The Miamisburg City Council’s focus is on maintaining the highest standards of financial governance. “Receiving this certificate reflects our commitment to transparency and the diligent work we do every day to safeguard the city’s financial integrity,” said Jennifer Johns, Miamisburg Finance Director. “None of this would be possible without the support of council and the entire organization,” she added.
