Miamisburg, Ohio – Jan. 5, 2022: At last night’s City Council meeting, members elected at-large representative Jeff Nestor as the new vice mayor. He succeeds at-large representative Greg Thompson in that role. The vice mayor in Miamisburg serves a two-year term.
A local business owner, Vice Mayor Nestor has spent two years on City Council. In addition to his Council service, he is member and past president of the Miamisburg Merchants Association, Miamisburg Rotary Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He also serves on the Baum Opera House Board of Directors.
Last night’s agenda also included swearing-in ceremonies for the incumbent Council members who represent the City’s four wards. Mike McCabe, Tom Nicholas, John Stalder and Sarah Clark Thacker began new four-year terms.
