Join the City of Miamisburg and its Public Works staff as it participates in a river cleanup. The Clean Sweep of the Great Miami River will be held on Friday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. near Rice Field in Miamisburg.
This annual volunteer led event focuses on removing trash and restoring the health of the Great Miami River. This river cleanup is about much more than picking up trash. It is a day for the community to demonstrate their desire for clean water and healthy rivers.
Last year, hundreds of tires and thousands of pounds of trash were removed, improving water quality and habitat. This event would not be possible without the hard work of the volunteers.
Volunteers are always needed. If you are interested in helping clean up the river, contact Ellen Stanifer at (937) 847-6636.
